Dr Uyen Tran - Paediatrician

Dr Uyen Tran graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1995, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics & Child Health) in 2004.
During her training she sub-specialised in developmental and behavioural paediatrics, gaining additional overseas experience in Vancouver, Canada for 2 years.
Since completing her training she has worked in the public sector in broad areas of general paediatrics, developmental and behavioural paediatrics, and child protection, in inpatient hospital, outpatient hospital and community-based settings.
She is a senior lecturer for the University of Queensland, and regularly assists with training and teaching of medical students and paediatricians-in-training.
Dr Tran has been awarded a Master of Population Health through the University of Queensland.
Dr Tran completed the workshop AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 5th Edition and was certified as an Independent Medical Examiner with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners in 2006. Dr Tran has completed the Permanent Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS) training.
