Dr Lynne Steele - Psychiatrist

Dr Lynne Steele is a graduate of the University of Glasgow Medical School and during her training she spent two years in Rockhampton from 1996-1998.  She undertook further specialist training in psychiatry in the UK obtaining MRCPsych in 2002.  Further advanced specialist training culminated in CCT (completion certificate of specialist training) in General adult psychiatry and CCT in Consultation Liaison psychiatry.

After immigrating to Australia in 2006 she has worked as a consultant Psychiatrist with the public health service for the last four years and began full time private practice in 2011.

Dr Steele held the position of academic coordinator for mental health with the University of Queensland - Rural Division from 2007-2010.  Special interests include mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, general adult and consultation liaison psychiatry, psychotherapy, eating disorder and in particular perinatal psychiatry.
