Dr Gundabawady is a fully qualified Consultant Psychiatrist.  He has previously worked as a forensic psychiatrist at the secure Mental Health Unit in Townsville.  He has extensive experience in forensic psychiatry, having trained in Oxford Clinic and Broadmoor High Secure Hospital in the United Kingdom. 

Currently, Dr Gundabawady works in private practice in Townsville.  He has extensive experience in producing medico-legal reports and assessments and is regularly called to attend Mental Health Tribunals, Mental Health Court and District Court matters.  He has experience in all aspects of forensic psychiatry, WorkCover and personal injury claims.  Dr Gundabawady has formal training in risk assessment and has completed the Permanent Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS) training.
